Always wanted to learn guitar? Always wanted to learn to play a song but unsure how or where to start?

Drop me a message and lets get started!

Lessons can take place face to face in my teaching studio based in Costessey, Norwich, UK.
All you need to bring is your guitar!

Amplifiers, leads and teaching materials are all provided and available to use.

Lessons can also be delivered through Zoom or Skype. This has proved to be an incredibly popular teaching method where students can have lessons in the comfort of their own home without the need for travel. Rates for face to face sessions and online sessions are exactly the same and a positive experience with either method is guaranteed.

I always take a flexible approach to teaching guitar and I am happy to led by the student as the motivation of each individual varies. All sessions are designed to be flexible and allows for learners to work at their own pace.

What is guaranteed is that it will always be enjoyable and engaging!

I have taught students aged 6 through to 70+, absolute beginners are always welcome, as are those who are more advanced in terms of their playing. Whatever your level, you will receive a tailored, personalised service which moves at the pace you need to learn effectively!

Lessons can take a theory based approach, focused on learning a specific song or genre of music, or a combination of both! All styles and tastes catered for (within reason!)

I can also deliver a grade based curriculum as offered by organisations such as London College of Music (LCME), Rockschool and Trinity Rock and Pop, all of which can see the student work towards an accredited, nationally and internationally recognised qualification.

AN Guitar Lessons is a Registered Exam Centre for Trinity Rock and Pop qualifications.

Successful completion of Grades 6, 7 and 8 will see the student awarded with UCAS points which can help with university applications.

Please see the videos below for examples of some of the tracks you could learn!

About Andy

I have worked as a fully qualified Lecturer and Curriculum Manager in Further and Adult Education for over 14 years (fully DBS checked and Safeguarding trained). As such, planning and preparing engaging and enjoyable lessons is something I am very experienced with!

I have achieved a Distinction at Grade 8 in Electric Guitar through London College of Music.

I have worked within the music industry for over 30 years in a number of different roles.

I am the lead guitarist/singer in an original rock and roll band called ‘The Dirty Tricks’ and have recorded, performed and released material as a solo acoustic artist. This work has seen me perform across the UK in small intimate venues, through to larger festival stages.

The video below is a track from The Dirty Tricks debut EP called 'Get Down Next To Me'.

The time spent as a working musician has also provided me with a high level of experience in recording studios across the country when producing albums, singles and EP’s for release.

I have also worked as a session musician, offering other artists support with songwriting, guitar and vocal duties on projects to help bring them to life in both live and studio based settings.

I am also a published songwriter and lyricist.
